I have a trade-in. Can you negotiate the trade-in value as well?Yes, we can negotiate with the dealership on your trade-in value, and we'll make sure you're getting a fair number for your current ride. Depending on the individual dealership's policy, they may want photos or the ability to see it in person before putting a number on your trade-in. If the dealership absolutely won't give us a number on your trade-in without seeing it, we'll give you advice on how to proceed if the rest of the numbers look good.

Are you an auto broker?We are absolutely not an auto broker! Nor do we recommend doing business with one. Auto brokers work in a similar fashion to traditional dealerships and make commissions based on how much you spend. That is the exact opposite of how we do business. We are not affiliated with any dealership or manufacturer, and the only revenue we will ever generate is our service fee.

How much do your services cost?Our fee for locating your vehicle, shopping for the best price, and negotiating all the different aspects of your car deal is $265. Unless you live in the state of Utah, there is no sales tax in addition to this price. We are confident in our ability to save you a lot of money at the dealership. So confident, in fact, that if we can't, your payment will be refunded, which makes your investment with us 100% risk-free.

Are you affiliated with any manufacturer or dealership?Absolutely not! We have no affiliation with anyone but our clients. The only revenue we generate is from our service fee, so you can rest easy knowing we have only your best interest in mind.

What exactly does your business do?At Platinum Auto Consultants, our goal is simple: Save our clients as much time and money on their next vehicle purchase as we possibly can. We do this by negotiating directly with the dealership on behalf of our clients. Today, car buying is more complicated than ever, and dealerships have taken advantage. Often, dealerships wrap hidden fees into payments, mark up interest rates, and withhold rebates for themselves, along with nearly a dozen other tactics designed to make each car deal more profitable for them. This can cost the buyer thousands of dollars, which is easy to hide in all the paperwork of a car deal. Everyone at Platinum Auto Consultants has experience in the car business and is familiar with every tactic used by the modern dealership. We are experts in unearthing everything the dealership can throw at you, and we negotiate them to force their hand to build the deal YOUR way. Besides the thousands of dollars you could save, we also save you time and hassle from having to go back-and-forth with a salesperson at the dealership. This process often takes hours, because in the United States, you're not negotiating with the salesperson, you're negotiating with a sales manager. When you buy through us, we've already taken care of all of this before you even arrive. Upon your arrival, after test driving the vehicle, all you'll have to do is sign the paperwork.

Do you help with used cars?We sure do! The process is certainly different from new cars, but we can definitely help. Our goal, whether you're shopping for a new or pre-owned vehicle, is to pin down the exact vehicle you want. With a new car, you can find several examples across multiple dealers, and we will shop every dealership to get the lowest price. With a used car, we'll search for what's available within the parameters you give us, present you with what we find, and then negotiate for you on the one you love most.

I need financing. Can you negotiate the finance terms with the dealership?Absolutely! This is one of our areas of expertise. In the car business today, the financing is the area where dealerships take the most advantage of car buyers. We'll double-check the rate they quote you and make sure there's no hidden finance charges to make sure you're saving the most amount of cash possible. Please be aware that due to privacy regulations, depending on the state you live in, the dealership may only negotiate finance terms with the car buyer directly. But fear not: If this is the case, you can still figure this out before visiting, and we will still analyze what they tell you to ensure it's truthful.
